Nathan crafts sensitive, visceral, warm music that insists upon the inherent goodness of all life on Earth. His compositions navigate the inner spaces between jazz, soul, gospel, and folk music; these influences are sown together to create a performance that is welcoming, joyful, and deeply felt. Nathan performs with a diverse array of San Francisco Bay Area artists, including vocalists Christelle Durandy, Lilan Kane, and as part of the duo DADÉ with drummer/producer Marshall Williams.

He is also passionate about working for social and environmental justice, and works with the internationally recognized non-profit Urban Tilth in Richmond, CA.
